♥ A Righteous Day
well today was a slack day for me but something interesting happen during dinner time.
I was having KFC with Toby at bugis junction while waiting for LSB to come. While we were munching happily away with our chicken we can't help but notice a phone on a table not far from us. The table was near the counter and there were 2 young guys standing near there so we thought that the phone might belong to them but on the other hand who will use a phone to 'chop' seats. So we continue to eye on those 2guys and they left the counter and sat at other tables. When Toby and me were discussing on whether to take the phone to pass to the KFC manager one of the guys from the counter just now went back to the table and took the phone. Well let's just call him pinkie cause he's wearing a pink colour t-shirt, my impression of him is his mouth is full of piercing and a 'xia lan' look. As for his friend i'll just call him braces cause he's wearing a colour braces.
After pinkie took the phone, we witness him went back to his seat and put the phone in his pocket and he never left his seat. So me and Toby's righteous streak came out, if the owner of the phone came back to search for it we will tell them what we saw. strike 4d also not so lucky the phone owner really came back so i call out to him, he was with his 2 other friends all of them were china students. So i told him we saw the pinkie took his phone and ask them to check with pinkie.
When pinkie was confronted, Braces said that pinkie saw the phone's screen was crack and put the phone back to the table which obviously he was lying cause after pinkie took the phone, the KFC auntie went to clear the table and a couple sat down the table. Not only they tried to deny but they also tried to lie their way out and push the blame to other people. They even told the 3 china students said if don't believe us your can go check and search for the phone with us. I told the china students don't go with them it might be dangerous cause maybe they got one gang of ppl waiting outside so one smart guy decided to call up the police and the other guy went to the couple and ask if they saw the phone. Heaven really got his own eyes, the couple also said they saw pinkie took the phone and went back to his seat.
While the 3 china students were doing all this, Braces came over and ask me why i told the china students that Braces stole the phone. I told him calmy that i told them i saw pinkie went over and took the phone and then the auntie immediately clear the table and the couple sat down. That's what i saw and i turn around and ask him why you said that your friend had put back the phone which all of us didn't saw it. I told him if you really take just return to them and case closed. I can feel that braces is quite anxious and he was blurting out saying 'later they will think that i stole the phone cause he go toilet...... ' after hearing this i was like come on you already half admitted you go toilet and put the phone there. zzzz stupid kid. He still got the cheek to say 'i'm a singaporean you think i will steal the hp mah? i also got $$ to buy.' so i reply to him 'if you got $$ to buy then good for you' and Braces went back to his seat.
I was quite suprise with the police's efficiency, within 10mins the police came and ask us what happen. I mainly just told them what I saw and my statement is consistent with the couple and we all agreed to be their witness. Then we immediate left Bugis cause pinkie's got the kill you face look so we scare he will call his gang up and wallop us especially me so we went to Cathay to watch a movie 'Friday the 13th' which was a super lame show zzzzz
Conclusion: Reason for me to be so KPO was because i myself had almost lost my HP before but luckily one goodheart soul return me my phone. If HP lost you can use $$ to buy a new HP but its the information inside the HP that is the most valuable which no $$ can buy, once lost is lost. And a person cannot be too greedy, because of a HP you get yourself into trouble which is so wasted. I do feel a bit bad for Pinkie and braces cause they are still quite young to get a police record but on the other hand if they didn't do it they will be safe.
